Rhinelander FBLA competes at regionals
Students from Rhinelander High School traveled to Greenwood Saturday to compete at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) regional tournament. Students from across the region competed in events that would prepare them for a future in business. These events ranged from Accounting to Job Interviews.
Out of the 36 students who attended, 34 took fifth place or better. Those who qualified for third place or higher will be moving on to the FBLA State competition which is held in Appleton April 6 to 8.
First place winners include: Alyssa Ellis (Business Financial Plan), Jon Chizever (Accounting I), Ian Bishop (Computer Problem Solving), Schye Skinner and Jessica Swearingen (Desktop Publishing), Connor Funk and Jordan Stuart (Global Business), Andrew Stafford (Personal Finance), Morgan Blaser (Public Speaking II) and Kim Trochlil (Web Site Design).
Second place winners include: Logan Sackett (Business Law), Heidi Gray, Megan Evans and Madison Godawa (Emerging Business Issues), Liz Krug (Accounting I), Adam Woebbeking (Client Services), Vince Berry, Nick Wright and Mitchell Reinthaler (Digital Video Production), Annika Hempel (Economics), Lukas Kreger (Insurance and Risk Management), Mike Anderson (Personal Finance) and Colton Fralick (Computer Problem Solving).
Third place winners include: Eva O’Melia, Hallie Wright and Kim Bilogan (Hospitality Management), and Erin Tenderholt (Impromptu Speaking).
