Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center welcomes new primary care provider

Nurse practitioner Shannon Markee has joined Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center’s Internal Medicine Department, where she’ll provide comprehensive primary health care for adults.

Prior to joining the Minocqua Center, Markee spent much of her career in the Wausau and Rhinelander areas. She chose to join the Minocqua Center because of her love for the Northwoods and her passion to help others with their health care needs.

“My goal is to help my patients achieve and maintain the best health possible,” Markee said. “In my free time, I really enjoy spending time with family, walks in the woods, kayaking, biking, fishing, water sports, gardening, downhill skiing and snowshoeing.”

Markee received her bachelor’s degree and Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She has experience in hospital and clinical settings, with expertise in primary care, orthopedics and neurology.

“We’re glad to welcome Shannon to our Internal Medicine Department,” said Kelly Rydeski, primary care manager at Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center. “Because she has provided care for people in the Rhinelander area, she’s very familiar with the health issues of people in our Northwoods communities.”
For more information, call the Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center Internal Medicine department at 715-358-1160 or 800-347-0673.
