Investigators have located human remains at the scene of a Feb. 3 fire off Woodland Trail. One person was missing following the early morning fire that injured two others.

At approximately 12:42 a.m., the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a structure fire located at 3892 Woodland Trail.  The house was fully engulfed in flames when fire fighters arrived.

A forensic autopsy on the remains is currently being scheduled and identification will be forthcoming.

The fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal, Town of Cassian Fire Department, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office.
