Business Close-up: Advanced Accounting takes on tax season

If the thought of sitting down with pen, calculator and tax forms causes panic, consider having Kim Haenel of Advanced Accounting tackle this chore.

For 20 years Kim has been providing a multitude of bookkeeping services to the Rhinelander community and taxes can be considered one of her specialties. Located in downtown Rhinelander, Kim and her friendly staff are always willing to listen to concerns or problems their clients may bring in.

“You can just drop off your tax paperwork or we will be more than happy to schedule a consultation so you can ask questions,” said Kim.

Another plus of having Kim look over returns is the multitude of laws and changes that take place every year, especially when it comes to taxes. Many times, people miss out on a higher return because they don’t know a certain exemption to make or they are unaware of a changed law. For instance, having a baby, changing jobs or purchasing a home can all affect the bottom line when it comes to a tax return.

And taxes are not the only bookkeeping Kim performs. For small or large business owners, this is a real plus. Services provided include minimal bookkeeping updates, to payroll, to full accounting for any corporation or business. Profit and loss sheets are also available.

For those thinking about opening their own business, a visit to Advance Accounting can set up the ground work for successful bookkeeping and applying for the correct governmental forms to start off on the right foot.

Tax returns are done in a timely manner, usually less than a week, and Kim also provides electronic filing so tax money is returned in an expedient manner. In addition, Kim’s rates are competitive and reasonable.

Advanced Accounting is located at 142 N. Brown St. in Rhinelander. It is open Monday through Friday during tax season from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The phone number is 715-365-1881 and they have a Facebook page.
