Rhinelander Swim Club closes out regular conference season

As their season is coming to an end, 78 swimmers of the Rhinelander Swim Club made the trip to Minocqua Jan. 18 to compete in the last regular conference meet of the winter season.   All the members of the swim club have been practicing very hard in preparation for the divisional and championship meets coming up. And their hard work is paying off.

Joseph Evenson (8) took off 11.10 seconds from his 25 yard Butterfly with a  time of 41.93 seconds; Oliver Ferdinand (9) dropped 12.10 seconds from his 100 yard Freestyle for a new time of 1:53.42; Joe Fugle (10) subtracted 17.86 seconds from his 100 yard Freestyle for a new time of 1:55.64; Charlie Heck (8)  took off 16.05 seconds from his 100 yard Freestyle with a new time of 1:30.04; Brodie Kasmarek (14) dropped 11.10 seconds from her 500 yard Freestyle with a time of 6:56.28; Krystal Kasmarek (8) took off 12.30 seconds from her 25 yard Butterfly for a time of 30.35 seconds and 12.40 seconds from her 50 yard Freestyle for a time of 50.26 seconds; Conor Natrop (14) took off an amazing 25.96 seconds from his 100 yard Breaststroke for a new time of 1:35.59; Tianna Rolain (14) dropped 10.12 seconds from her 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 1:21.06; Nora Rutkowski (7) took off 12.45 seconds from her 25 yard Butterfly for a time of 36.09 seconds; Eleanor Schiek (10) dropped 10.73 seconds from her 50 yard Butterfly with a time of 52.98 seconds;  Mabel Spencer (10) took off 10.93 seconds from her 100 yard Freestyle with a new time of 1:33.78; Kierra Steffes (11) dropped 11.95 seconds from her 100 yard Freestyle for a time of 1:21.12; and AnnaMarie Wood (10) took off 13.04 seconds from her 100 yard Individual Medley for a new time of 1:51.20.

Conference divisional and championship meets are broken down into two days, with 10 and under swimmers swimming Saturday and 11 and older swimmers competing Sunday. Rhinelander Swim Club will be travelling to Antigo Jan. 25 and 26 the divisional meet and the following weekend will head to Tomahawk for championships.
