The Oneida County Fair not hibernating

As the snow falls and the temperature drops, things are heating up with plans for the 2014 Oneida County Fair.

Following a successful 2013 Fair, work is now underway for the 2014 event. The Oneida County Fair is held the first weekend in August at Pioneer Park. Dedicated volunteers are already at work to plan a fun-filled event that will be held July 31 through Aug. 3.

Volunteers are a key part of the Fair’s success. Entertainment, exhibits, vendors and all of the great elements of the Fair are due to the efforts of volunteers. Each area of the Fair is planned by Oneida County residents committed to creating a family event that carries on the long tradition of the Oneida County Fair.

Join us. The Fair Planning Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the UW-Extension offices at the Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport. Help to continue the great family event that thousands attend each year. The next meeting will be held Feb. 4.

For more information on how to help, contact Anna Gauthier at the UW Extension office at 715-365-2750. You may also visit the website at www.oneidacountyfairwi.com.
