Pragya Dhaubhadel joins Ministry Medical Group
Ministry Health Care welcomes Pragya Dhaubhadel, MD, to the Ministry Medical Group (MMG) internal medicine department. She will be providing care at the Ministry Medical Group clinic located at 2251 North Shore Drive in Rhinelander.
As a board certified internal medicine physician, specializing in infectious diseases, Dhaubhadel can assist patients with tick-borne diseases, fungal infections, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS/HIV. She has a special interest in travel medicine and women’s health.
Dhaubhadel earned her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India. She completed a fellowship in infectious diseases, and a residency in internal medicine, at Columbia University Medical Center’s Harlem Hospital in New York. “As an infectious disease specialist, I’m part of a team that often includes other specialties like family medicine, anesthesiology, emergency medicine and OB/Gyn,” Dhaubhadel said. “The other critical team member is the patient. I believe in listening carefully to all team members to come up with the best treatment plan. I also believe in the power of prevention, and I’m committed to working with the community to educate people on how to avoid disease.”
In her spare time, Dhaubhadel enjoys spending time outdoors–hiking, trekking, running and zip lining. She also enjoys traveling, cooking and volunteering.
