Reed resigns from chamber position
Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lara Reed informed the Board of Directors Friday, Dec. 13 that she will be stepping down from her position Jan. 10.
“It is with mixed emotions that I write this to inform you of my resignation as executive director of the chamber,” Reed said in an email to the chamber membership today. “I have been offered and accepted a position with Ministry Medical Group. I have truly enjoyed my time at the chamber and am proud of the work we have accomplished in the last three years.”
“We truly appreciate all the hard work Lara has done for our organization over the last three years. Her energy and excitement for her work was apparent,” Board President Erin Skinner said. “We wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors and could not be happier for her and this opportunity.”
The Chamber Board of Directors has begun the process to fill the executive director position.
“I can assure you that the Board of Directors and the staff at the chamber will continue to work to keep the work, programs and progress of the chamber moving forward,” Skinner said. “More information will be provided to our membership as it becomes available and we work through the hiring process.”
Reed began her position in May of 2011. Her last day with the Chamber will be Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.
