Grow North Regional Economic Development Corporation interim executive director named
The Grow North Executive Committee announces the appointment of Don Sidlowski as interim executive director of the corporation. The position recently came open when the current incumbent, Sarah Kapellusch, submitted her resignation to pursue other opportunities in Wausau. The Grow North Board of Directors thanks Sarah for her service and wishes her well in future pursuits. Sidlowski will assume his new duties by late December.
The Grow North Executive Committee chose to appoint an interim executive director for a term of six months to ensure both a timely transition and to maintain momentum in the organization while giving the Board of Directors flexibility in determining future needs for the position.
Don Sidlowski, a resident of Three Lakes, comes to Grow North with a depth of experience in both the private and public sectors, economic development and community service. He is the co-founder and managing director of Oneida Marketing Enterprises, a virtual company providing integrated internet marketing systems.
Sidlowski is already actively engaged in regional economic development as founder of the Northwoods Broadband Development Coalition, a super-regional entity committed to transforming northern Wisconsin into a nationally-recognized high speed internet zone. He also serves as management team Leader for the Wisconsin Public Service Commission’s LinkWISCONSIN Region 2, and as a broadband development advisor to a wide range of local, county, regional and state agencies and entities.
His past public service includes four years as town chairman in the town of Three Lakes, as chairman of the Three Lakes Economic Development Committee, as a commissioner on the Three Lakes Plan Commission, and on the Board of Directors of the Oneida County Economic Development Corporation.
