Peoples State Bank is in the I Buy Local spotlight

Being active members of the community is an important part of the foundation of Peoples State Bank.

“We want to be a part of things that help promote Rhinelander as a whole,” Rhinelander Branch Manager Cindy Wright said. “We want to help to keep business in our community.”

One way that Peoples State Bank continues this tradition of community giving is through their annual “Holiday Give” food pantry drive which is happening now through Dec. 31.

Community members can drop off non-perishable food donations or monetary donations at any Peoples location and the bank will match up to $5,000. Here in Rhinelander all donations collected at the Rhinelander branch will be donated to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry and stay right here locally to help the community this holiday season.

“As an organization we want to make sure we are aware of those that might be a little less fortunate and do what we can to help them out,” Wright said. “Whatever the reason if someone in our community is struggling we want to make sure that we are helping provide the solution and by supporting the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry we can do that.”

This week Peoples State Bank is the I Buy Local Spotlight business. Stop by their Rhinelander location and check out the traveling Spotlight Business sign. Those interested can also drop off food donations or purchase an I Buy Local Consumer Punch Card at the branch. The punch cards can be punched at any of the participating I Buy Local businesses.

Once the punch card is full turn it in for an entry into our monthly drawings. This month’s prize is an eight inch tablet donated by Cirilli Law Offices.
I Buy Local is a program supported by the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Rhinelander, Inc. Look for the I Buy Local logo and support Rhinelander businesses.
