Park City Credit Union launches ?Cash Mobs for a Cause?
In November, Park City Credit Union will be unveiling “Cash Mobs for a Cause” throughout Rhinelander. Park City Credit Union is a non-profit financial cooperative and is member-owned, with their annual profits going back to their members and to their communities.
Park City Credit Union will announce cash mob dates, times and special offers on their website and Facebook page. Everyone is invited to attend the “Cash Mobs” and support the locally owned businesses involved in the program. Park City Credit Union will donate $1 per “Cash Mob” visitor to a local non-profit chosen by the business owner (up to $100 per “Cash Mob”).
The concept of “Cash Mobs for a Cause” is to increase community awareness regarding the importance of shopping local and supporting local non-profit organizations. The local businesses that are participating in “Cash Mobs for a Cause” are part of Park City Credit Union’s Buzz Points™ program. Buzz Points™ is a program for Park City Credit Union members that rewards them for using their debit card and shopping at participating local businesses. The points earned may be redeemed for gift cards to numerous businesses or be converted to monetary donations for local non-profits. A similar event was held in Tomahawk in October and Park City Credit Union committed to donating more than $500 to local non-profits.
