Leadership Oneida County looking for community projects

Leadership Oneida County is now accepting applications for organizational or community projects for the 2013-2014 Class to help complete.

Leadership Oneida County is a program that identifies and cultivates Leaders within Oneida County. he 2013-2014 Program has 16 Candidates from various professional and personal backgrounds with diversified skills and abilities.

As part of the Leadership program and a requirement for graduation, candidates are required to select a community project to complete by May 2014. Community projects are accepted from local community groups and non-profit organizations.

Over the years, Leadership candidates have assisted their communities in various ways. One group helped a local community identify locations, costs and a design for new welcoming signs. One group assisted a local non-profit in creating a marketing plan. One group assisted the humane society with creating a volunteer program.

Applications for project submissions are available at the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce or by visiting their website, www.ExploreRhinelander.com. Organization who would like to present a project to the 2013-2014 Leadership Candidates, should complete an application and return it to the Chamber no later than Nov. 22, 2013.

The Leadership Steering Committee will review all applications, and the selected organizations will be asked to describe their project to the Leadership Candidates at the Dec. 12, 2013 program day.
