Anyone thinking about attending Nicolet can learn more about the college as well as bachelor’s degree completion options during College Visit Night and the Transfer Fair Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Nicolet.

College Visit Night will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Activities will start in the Nicolet College Theatre with a 45-minute presentation that covers the admissions process, career services at the college, and information about financial aid and scholarships.

During the remainder of the evening individuals will have the opportunity to visit the academic program areas that are of interest to them, tour the labs and classrooms, and meet with instructors.

“This is a great way for anyone interested in attending Nicolet to learn about what the college has to offer and get a feel for the campus to see if Nicolet is right for them,” Erika Warning, Nicolet College career coach, said.

Nicolet will also hold the College Transfer Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the first floor lobby of the Learning Resources Center.

The fair will give students thinking of beginning at Nicolet and then transferring to earn a bachelor’s degree the opportunity to meet with representatives from 16 different four-year colleges and universities.

“Many students at Nicolet complete most if not all of the first two years of their bachelor’s degree at Nicolet and then transfer to a four-year campus,” Teresa Rose, Nicolet transfer coordinator, said. “What’s nice about the Transfer Fair is that it gives people the opportunity to visit with several four-year college and university representative in one location to discuss their bachelor’s degree completion options.”

Along with the University Transfer Liberal Arts program, Nicolet also offers numerous two-year occupational associate degree programs where students can transfer their Nicolet credits into a bachelor’s degree program.

College and universities attending the Transfer Fair will include UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Green Bay, UW-Superior, UW-LaCrosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Platteville, UW-Stout, UW-River Falls, UW-Marshfield/Wood County, Northern Michigan University, Northland College, Viterbo University, Upper Iowa University, and Rasmussen College.

“Both the College Visit Night and Transfer Fair are open to anyone and everyone,” Warning said. “This includes high school students and their parents looking at colleges, current Nicolet students looking to transfer, and members of the general public looking to explore their higher education options.”
