Denim and Dessert Theatre presents Suite Surrender

Denim and Dessert Readers Theatre presents “Suite Surrender”, a rollicking comedy by Michael McKeever Oct. 11 and 12, 2013.

It’s 1942, and two of Hollywood’s biggest divas have descended on the luxurious Palm Beach Hotel, with their able assistants, cumbersome luggage and legendary feud with one another in tow. Meanwhile, Mrs. Osgood, society maven, has invited the Navy and Army to frolic in the lobby to help them survive wartime.
The script is hysterical, with divas in and out of doors, reporters in closets and roses in all the wrong places.

Performances are Friday and Saturday nights Oct. 11 and 12 at the Presque Isle Community Center off County B on School Loop Road. Admission is free, with donations always welcome.

There’s a cash beverage bar before the show; come early for the best seating, doors open at 6:30 p.m., shows at 7 p.m. After the show, join the cast and crew for home-made dessert and coffee.
