Rhinelander High School Homecoming activities announced

2013 Homecoming activities for Rhinelander High School include:

Sunday, Sept. 29 – Downtown window painting by classes

Sunday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. – National Honor Society (NHS) Talent Show in RHS auditorium ($5 Admission)

Monday, Sept. 30 – Homecoming week kicks off including dress up themes:
Monday: Disney/Pixar day
Tuesday: Superhero Day
Wednesday: Twin Day
Thursday: Movie Day
Freshmen: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Sophomores: Bad News Bears
Juniors: Star Wars
Seniors: Grease
Teachers: Magnificent Seven (Westerns)
Friday: Spirit/Green and White Day

Monday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. – Spike Volleyball in Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium (Juniors vs. Seniors)

Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. – Powder Puff Football at Mike Webster Stadium (Juniors vs. Seniors) – Admission-$1 (Sophomore Class will be running the admission gate to raise money for their class)

Friday, Oct. 4 – Pep Rally in the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium (start time approximately 1:45 pm)
King and Queen will be crowned at this time

Friday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. – Parade on Brown Street (many schools and organizations are participating)

Friday, Oct. 4 – Homecoming/Bell Game at 7 p.m. at Mike Webster Stadium (There is no tailgate this year)
Half-Time Festivities: Announcement of Homecoming court, Rhinelander Band, Game Ball Drawing

The PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) team will be raffling off Friday’s game ball. An image will be branded onto the football to make it a memorable keepsake of the 87th year of the Bell Game.

Saturday, Oct 5 – Homecoming Dance at 7 to 11 p.m. in the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium (The theme is Motown) – Grand March is at 10 p.m.

This year RHS is reviving the Spirit Trophy – Classes will compete during the week in games, dress up days, class cheer, floats and other events and the trophy will be presented at half time of the Bell Game to the winning class.

This year the Homecoming Game is also the Bell Game: Rhinelander High School encourages all local businesses with outdoor signage to put a message on it promoting the Bell Game and Homecoming.
