Second Annual Downtown Pet Stroll to Benefit the Animals

The Oneida County Humane Society will hold its Second Annual Pet Stroll in downtown Rhinelander Sunday, Sept. 29. All caged or leashed pets are welcome to participate – pigs, rabbits, cats, ducks or dogs. Pet costumes are encouraged.
Prizes will be awarded for the biggest, the littlest, the best-dressed, the “face only a mother could love,” owner/pet look-alike and other categories. Water and treats will be available for two-legged and four-legged strollers. The fun begins at 1 p.m. at Stevens Port Square (at the corner of Davenport and Stevens Streets).

Participants are asked to pay a $20 entry fee or raise a minimum of $20 in pledges. They will be rewarded with a T-shirt and a bandana (if their pet can wear one).

The top three pledge-raisers will receive special prizes. Sign-up sheets and pledge forms are available at the Adoption Center at 1852 N. Stevens Street in Rhinelander.

For more information, call the Adoption Center at 715-362-5992.

Top prize this year is a $75 gift certificate from Pawz n’Clawz on Lincoln Street.

All proceeds from the Stroll will benefit the animals at the Adoption Center. The Oneida County Humane Society is an independent, private non-profit corporation. We are not a governmental agency, and we rely on donations from the public to care for the animals. All donations are tax-deductible. For additional information, visit www.OCHSpets.org.
