UWSP recognizes natural resources students

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has honored students for academic excellence through the College of Natural Resources scholarship program.

Local scholarship recipients include:

Eagle River – Thomas Reynolds, a forest administration and utilization major, received a $500 Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association Scholarship. He is a graduate of Northland Pines High School.

Rhinelander – Tim Dobbins, a fisheries major, received a $1,000 Muskies Inc. Headwaters Chapter Memorial Scholarship. He is a graduate of Three Lakes High School.

Tomahawk – Daniel Harrington, a wildlife ecology research and management major, received a $1,000 Safari Club International Wisconsin Chapter Scholarship. He is a graduate of St. Croix Falls High School.

Tomahawk – Elizabeth Schultz, a wildlife ecology research and management major with a minor in environmental law enforcement, received a $1,000 Wisconsin Conservation Warden Association-Andrew Krakow Scholarship, named for a warden killed in the line of duty in Marquette County, and a $1,000 Wisconsin Wildlife Federation Milwaukee Police Officers Conservation and Sportsman Club Ltd. Scholarship. Schultz is a graduate of Tomahawk Senior High School.

Woodruff – Sarah Stowe, a wildlife ecology research and management major, received a $1,000 Marv and Sandy Kramer Summer Academic Scholarship. She is a graduate of Lakeland Union High School.
