Panfish bite excellent, with walleye, northern, and bass good to excellent, and musky good

Water temps in the Eagle River area are in the mid 70s. Panfish action (crappies, bluegills and perch) is excellent in the Eagle River area. Fish break edges or weed edges in 15 feet of water or less.

Crappies and gills suspending anywhere in the water column, and perch are tight to bottom. Use a crappie minnow or chunk of crawler under a slip bobber or small jig; or try a Mini Mite. All working. All day bite.

Walleye in the Eagle River area in 10 to 25 feet of water off of break edges. The walleye are tight to bottom. Use a 1/8th ounce jig with a fathead. All day bite, with peaks in the evening. Good to excellent action.

Northern are locating in 10 feet of water or less in and around weeds in the Eagle River area. Use a small bucktail, bass style spinner bait, a small crankbait, or a northern minnow under a slip bobber. All day action. Good to excellent bite.

Smallmouth bass in the Eagle River are hitting over hardbottom areas off of break edges in 8 to 25 feet of water. Use a jig and a leech or a jig and a minnow, a 3 to 4 inch plastic tube or plastic crawfish. All day action.

Bite is good to excellent. Largemouth bass in the Eagle River area are putting on a good to excellent bite. Fish 10 feet of water or less around shore related structure, such as docks, drowned trees, brush piles, or heavy weeds. Use a plastic frog or bass rate, or try a plastic worm rigged Carolina stule. All day action, with the bite good to excellent.

Musky action in the Eagle River area is good. Fish 10 feet of water or less off or weed edges or adjacent hardbottom areas. Use a bucktail, topwater, or crank bait. All day bite, with peaks at sunset.
