The Rhinelander School Board Tuesday approved the hiring of Brian Paulson as the grade 7 through 12 activities director and selected Kelly Husby as the new principal at Crescent Elementary School.

Paulson graduated from the University of WI-Oshkosh with a degree in Physical Education/Adaptive Education and is currently employed with the Marion School District as the Athletic Director, Physical Education Teacher and Adaptive Physical Education Teacher.

Huseby is currently employed with the Tomahawk School District as the Director of Instruction, Assoc. Middle School Principal and Title I/Reading Coordinator. Huseby was employed with the Rhinelander School District between from 1995 until 2000 as the Lead Title I Teacher/Coordinator and is familiar with the role she will take as the Crescent Elementary School Principal.

Both Paulson and Huseby will begin their duties “as soon as possible” according to a press release from the school district.
