Kathan Inn & Resort will host a fish boil to benefit the Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing (NATH) Frederick Place on Saturday, July 6, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The cost of the July 6 fish boil is $8/person. Pontoon boat rides on private Kathan Lake will also be available. Contributions to Frederick Place such as bug spray, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent and monetary donations will be welcomed at the Kathan Inn.

Kathan Inn is located at 8570 Cty. H, Eagle River (from Rhinelander, take Hwy. 17 to Cty. D, then to Cty. H). Reservations are not required, but are appreciated; call Kathan Inn at (715) 479-4260.

Frederick Place is a 16-bed emergency temporary shelter for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness. The shelter serves Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas counties and is located at 204 W. Frederick St. in Rhinelander.

To date, NATH has provided shelter, meals, case management and basic life necessities to 240 individuals, including 34 children. Annual operating costs for Frederick Place are approximately $205,000 per year. These costs include 24-hour staffing, case management, utilities, insurance, food, supplies and maintenance.
