The Northern Arts Council and Nicolet College will sponsor the 26th annual Northern National Art Competition Tuesday, July 23, at the Learning Resource Center on Nicolet’s campus. The event will begin at 5 p.m. with an appetizer buffet, beverages and dessert. Those attending may view the art on display in the gallery and enjoy the judge’s comments at 7 p.m. in the theater.

The judge is James R. Pace, a professor of visual art in Tyler, Texas. He holds a MSA from Arizona State University and a BSA from the University of Oklahoma. He is a lecturer and visiting artist at museums, galleries and art centers throughout the country.

Tax-deductible tickets are $15 each and are available at Dianes’s Frame Shop or Lattitudes in downtown Rhinelander, or call Tom Winquist at (715) 362-6988. Tickets will not be sold at the door. All proceeds are used to support the event.
