A crew from CMJ Productions II Inc. of Quebec, Canada, came to Rhinelander last week to film a documentary about how the Hodag came to be Rhinelander’s mascot. A re-enactment of the time Gene Shepard displayed his Hodag to the public was taped last Saturday, with about 50 people performing as extras. The re-enactment will be featured on Boogeyman which is a Canadian travel series. The company’s programming has been sold to such channels as the History Channel US, Investigation Discovery US, Discovery Health, Mystery Channel and others. It is unknown when, or if, the segment will be aired in the United States.
