Russell C. Ladwig, 75, of Rhinelander died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Cumberland Heights. He was born Nov. 5, 1937, to Frank and Agnes (Kimbal) Ladwig in Madison. He is survived by his wife, Molly; a sister, Alice Rota of Boston, Mass.; and his special cat, Spunky. Mr. Ladwig served in the Korean War and the American Legion. His hobbies included ceramics, etchings, hunting and fishing. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home with Pastor Maxine Grey officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Due to a serious pollen allergy, the family asks that no flowers be sent to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mr. Ladwig’s name. (Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home)
