Obituary: James Robert Hagen

James Robert Hagen, 55, died Monday, May 27, 2013. He was born June 7, 1957 to Charles and Norma (White) Hagen in Rhinelander. He is survived by his mother, Norma, of Rhinelander; a brother, Paul (Jan) Hagen of Rhinelander; a sister-in-law, Traci Running; and brothers-in-law Craig and Scott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbi, and his father. Mr. Hagen wanted to be remembered as “the guy who helped kids with cancer.” He held benefits for Maddie McLauglin, Leanna Kossack and Easton Senorake and two Friends Helping Friends fundraisers with the help of the Marshfield Cancer Center. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 5, at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Rebecca Niese officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 4, at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home from 4 until 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 5, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A memorial has been established in his name and may be directed to the family. (Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home)
