Devil?s Elbow 5K on June 15

The third annual Devil’s Elbow 5K Sunset Trail Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, June 15 at the Trout Lake Golf Club. All ages and ability levels are encouraged to experience the trail run/walk. The course will follow the fairways and wooded trails of the Trout Lake Golf Club and its infamous “Devil’s Elbow.” Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lakeland Union High School Scholarship Fund, Arbor Vitae Woodruff Education Foundation and the Arbor Vitae Bike Trail efforts.

Registration and check-in begin at 6 p.m. with the race beginning at 7:30 p.m. The pre-registration fee is $25 if registered before June 7 and a registration fee of $35 if registered after June 7. The fee includes race entry, food and beverages and a t-shirt. Registration forms can be obtained at Trout Lake Golf Club or Coontail Corner, or by visiting troutlakegolf.com.

Upon completion of the 5K, participants and supporters will enjoy music, brats, beer, beverages, awards, door prizes and more. A $100 cash payout will be awarded to both the overall top finishing male and female participants. Aadditional prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each age division.
