Obituary: Susan Marquardt

Susan Marquardt, 67, of Rhinelander died May 22, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1945, in Marathon County to George and Ella (Schlund) Schmolze. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; a daughter, Nicole (Michael) Stein of Rhinelander; two sons, Timothy (Amy) Marquardt of Wausau and Dean Marquardt of Rhinelander; two sisters, Belva Burke of West Bend and Diane (John) Schmidt of Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Alan (Jeanette) Schmolze of Minneapolis, Minn., Glen (Nancy) Schmolze of Augusta, S.C., and Orin Schmolze of Wagner, Okla.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. She worked as a bailiff for Oneida County from time to time, and for Nitke Auctions. She enjoyed a number of activities which included gardening. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 30, at noon at Carlson Funeral Home with Deacon Ronald Bosi officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. until just prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Home Cemetery. (Carlson Funeral Home)
