Obituary: Ruth H. Bergman

Ruth H. Bergman, 95, of Rhinelander, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Taylor Park Nursing Home. She was born on Jan. 17, 1918, in Rhinelander to Emil and Lillie (Laddusire) Hedelman.

She is survived by her three children, Avis Pence, Judy (David) Richardson and Peter (Elsie) Bergman Sr. all of Rhinelander; eight grandchildren, Greg (Cheryl) Pence, Pam Sommers, Julie (Mike) McKenzie, Tim (Kristin) Pence, Paula (Mike) Dreuth, Casey Richardson, Amy (Troy) Bocek and Carrie Bergman; grandson-in-law, Tim Kuehn; 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Perz of Roselle, Ill. and Mavis Grill of Milwaukee; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; a son-in-law, Nathan Pence Jr.; four grandchildren, Carla Engstrom, Joseph Bergman, Peter Bergman Jr. and April Kuehn; a great-granddaughter, Bethany Bergman; and three sisters, Helen Tumpack, Joyce Moritz and Evelyn Rhode.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at noon on Friday, May 10, at the Carlson Funeral Home with Chaplain John Uhlarik officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Northland Memorial Park. (Carlson Funeral Home)
