Nicolet College graduation ceremonies May 18 and 19
Nearly 550 students will graduate from Nicolet College this spring during commencement ceremonies on the Nicolet Campus Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19.
441 graduates will receive an associate degree, diploma or certificate from the college and nearly another 100 will earn their GED or HSED through the college’s Academic Success program.
“It’s always exciting to see a graduating class complete their Nicolet education and enter the workforce or advance on to higher levels of education before they start their careers,” said Nicolet College President Elizabeth Burmaster. “The skills these graduates bring to the Northwoods will contribute to the economic prosperity of the region by providing businesses with the trained workforce they need to be productive and profitable.”
Ceremonies will be held at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, in the Nicolet College Theatre for graduates receiving a degree, diploma or certificate. The ceremony for Academic Success graduates will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 19, also in the theatre.
The commencement speaker at Saturday ceremonies will be Wisconsin Technical College President Morna Foy. As president, Foy oversees operations of the 16-college state system.
At the ceremony Sunday, Nicolet College Student Ambassador Tony Bellman will deliver the commencement address. Bellman started his education at Nicolet by earning a GED. Next year he’ll earn his associate degree in Information Technology from Nicolet and transfer to the University of Wisconsin-Stout to earn a bachelor’s degree.
The Nicolet College Campus is located one mile south of Rhinelander just off of Hwy. G.
