Downtown Rhinelander Fourth of July Parade theme selected

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the theme of Rhinelander’s 4th of July Parade for 2013. The theme is “Happy Birthday, Uncle Sam” and was selected due to Uncle Sam turning 200 years old this year. The parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 and will being at the Rhinelander police station on Frederick Street, run south on Brown Street, through Courtney Street and will end on Rives Street. The Rhinelander Lions Kiddie Parade will begin at 10 a.m. with lineup at 9:30 by Zion Church.

Many organizations will be in attendance, including Pipes and Drums of Thunder Bay, Rhinelander High School Band, Edgar High School Band, Rhinelander Community Band, Zor Funsters and Janesville Fife and Drum. Numerous float awards will be given, including non-profit, business, marching and general.

Parade applications are now available and can be picked up at the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, contact the chamber at (715) 365-7464.
