Business Close Up: NAPA Auto Parts in Rhinelander

Whether you’re looking for a specific part or supplies to make your vehicle shine, NAPA Auto Parts on Stevens Street in Rhinelander is a good place to start.
Jim Jechke is the manager here, and he and his crew have many years of expertise to help customers find just what they need when it comes to fixing a vehicle or finding the right tool. “Five of my seven parts specialists are ASE certified,” said Jim. “And we have over 90 years experience between us when it comes to helping our customers find what they need to keep their cars and trucks running smoothly.”
Jim’s dad, Russ, opened this parts store in 1968, and Jim’s brother, John, runs the NAPA store in Minocqua, so this is truly a family-owned operation. “When you are neighbors with your customers, you make sure customer service is number one,” said Jim. “We not only sell parts, but we also can give good advice about parts when our customers have questions.”
A specialty of this store is providing parts for dirt track racing. Hoosier tires are available here, in addition to many parts that are required to keep vehicles running in top condition for this sport. In fact, Jim and his crew even provide parts trackside. “We have a van full of parts we take to the Tomahawk and Three Lakes race tracks during the summer months,” said Jim.
These experts also realize that when parts are needed for a vehicle, time can be of the essence. If a part is not stocked in any of their stores, they will order it and the turnaround time is usually overnight. “We have four warehouses we can turn to when someone needs a part,” said Jim. “We have warehouses in Stevens Point, Chicago, Minneapolis and in Milwaukee.”
This NAPA parts store also stocks an impressive array of car care products including washes, waxes and tools to make detailing go smoothly. There are many other tools, like wrenches and vise grips available here at competitive prices. Items such as winches, pull straps, batteries and oil are also on hand. A large variety of reflective headlights and blinker light lenses are also stocked. “We have one of the largest parts inventories in town,” said Jim. “And we have one of the largest selections for parts that need to be ordered overnight also.”
