The Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center will host the 17th annual Journeys Marathon Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11. The chamber is looking for volunteers to participate in a variety of ways and to volunteer for as many hours as they would like to give.

On Friday, May 10, volunteers will assist with registration, finish line set-up, race registration sign-up and T-shirt distribution. Volunteer hours are as follows: finish line set-up at 8 a.m., race registration set-up at 3 p.m., and race registration sign-up and T-shirt distribution at 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 11, volunteers can assist with course set-up, finish line set-up, early morning registration, 5K registration and T-shirt distribution. They can also hand out medals and blankets, and remove timing chips, serve and cook food and clean up the finish line. Volunteer hours Saturday will begin as early as 5:45 a.m. and continue until 4:30 p.m.

For more information on how to help with Journeys Marathon, call Kim Emerson at the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce, (715) 479-6400.
