The 5th annual It Takes a Village conference will take place Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Pointe Hotel & Suite in Minocqua. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Changes have been made this year to accommodate the increasing attendance.

Megan Hunt, a certified patient advocate and founder of Mystery Angel Patient Advocacy, will provide opening remarks titled “When It Don’t Come Easy”. The morning session will close with a second presentation by Hunt on choosing optimism through goal setting. Throughout the morning, attendees will have an opportunity to browse displays by area organizations.

It Takes A Village Community Conference was created to provide compassionate people with information, understanding, skills and increased knowledge of area resources with the hope that this would empower them to reach out with greater confidence and improved impact.

The free workshop is open to everyone in the community. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required by April 24. For registration information, contact Randi Danner at Dr. Kate Hospice at (715) 356-8805 or Randi.Danner@ministryhealth.org
