?Denim Day? event scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 by Tri-County Council
Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault will be hosting a “Denim Day” event on Wednesday, April 24 2013 from 10:00 a.m-1:00 p.m. as part of our awareness building activities for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This event will be held at Trig’s RiverWalk Centre in Rhinelander and is open to the public. For a small donation, participants will have the opportunity to use craft supplies to decorate denim apparel. “Denim Day” is a national campaign that uses denim as a symbol of protest against the destructive attitudes about sexual violence. All materials will be provided. Completed jeans will then be displayed for the public. The public is also encouraged to wear denim throughout the day to honor those who have survived sexual violence. Please call Tri-County Council at 362-6841 for more information.
