YMCA Teen Character Award nominations sought

The YMCA of the Northwoods is hosting its annual Teen Character Awards and islooking for area teens that have shown the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in their lives.
Nomination forms are now available at the YMCA, James Williams Middle School and Rhinelander High School; NCSS and area high schools in Northland Pines, Lakeland, Three Lakes, Tomahawk, Phelps and Crandon. The nomination form also can be printed off the YMCA’s website, ymcaofthenorthwoods.org. Completed forms should be returned to the YMCA no later than April 12, 2013.
Area judges will select 20 top teens to be honored at the Awards Banquet, May 20, in Rhinelander.
Nominating criteria includes teens between the ages of 12 and 18, currently enrolled in an area middle or senior high school, home schooled or attending a local private school, and who reside in Oneida, Vilas, Forest or Lincoln County. Anyone 12 years old (and in Middle School) or older may nominate a deserving teen.
