Officials from the Northwoods United Way have announced they are now accepting applications for 2014 United Way funding. Agencies currently receiving United Way funds have received the 2014 grant application.

Agencies located within Forest, Oneida or Vilas counties that meet the following criteria are urged to apply: Provide a human service, be open and non-exclusive for membership, demonstrate a need for their service within the community, not duplicate another service currently funded by United Way, be a government/tribal/501(c)(3) agency, be capable of proving quality of service and meet United Way certification requirements.

After reviewing completed applications, the United Way Allocations Committee will interview applicants in order to set agency allocations for 2014. For more information or for an application, call the United Way office at (715) 369-0440 or download the application and budget form at northwoodsunitedway.org. There is also a link to the application on the United Way Facebook page, facebook.com/northwoodsunitedway. The deadline to return applications is May 1.
