Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital Volunteers will be offering flowers, green plants and herbs for sale during the annual fundraiser with proceeds to benefit the scholarships awarded to area students who are pursuing a career in health care.

Five popular colors of geraniums will be available for purchase. Also for sale are New Guinea impatiens in pink, red and white, dragon-wing begonias in red and pink, bacopa (a small white cascading flower) and calibrachoa (a mini-petunia in yellow, purple and dark pink). There will also be a variety of herbs to choose from.

The plants are grown for the volunteers locally by Hanson’s Garden Village in Rhinelander. Price per plant and herbs are $3.50. All the plants are in 4″ pots and are in excellent condition.

Order forms are available by calling (715) 361-2004, or can be picked up in the hospital Gift Shop Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Orders with payment are due by Monday, May 6. Plant pick up is Tuesday, May 21, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital surgery entrance.

In 2012, Ministry Saint Mary’s Volunteers donated over 18,000 hours of service to the hospital and were able to provide six $2,500 scholarships to individuals in the Rhinelander area in pursuit of a health care related field.
