Obituary: Eugene A. “Tud” Reich

Eugene A. “Tud” Reich, 86, of Rhinelander, died at Friendly Village Thursday, March 21, 2013. He was born June 9, 1926, in Rhinelander. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carole; his sons, John (Sandi) Reich of Osburn, Idaho, and David Reich and Tom (Gina) Reich, both of Rhinelander; sisters-in-law Joan Erlitz, Judy (Dick) Hunter, Janet (Howie) Huebner and Sarah (John) Kirsch; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. He served in the Air Force and was employed at Wisconsin Public Service for 38 years. At his request, there will be no funeral service. A family gathering will be held at a later date. A memorial will be established in his name for the benefit of his favorite local charities; contributions may be directed in care of his family.
