Trig?s and Riverwalk Centre to Undergo Remodel and Expansion

Rhinelander, WI (3/20/2013) – T.A. Solberg Co., Inc. is unveiling plans for a complete remodel of the Trig’s store and Riverwalk Centre including the addition of several new businesses. Last year a new parking lot and lighting project was completed. The remodel to the interior of Trig’s Rhinelander grocery store recently began with the expansion of the natural and organic section and an update to the produce department. T.A. Solberg Co. plans to continue the remodel March 18th through mid-October.

“Our Rhinelander customers have been some of our biggest supporters over the years and they deserve the best store we can provide. We love the Rhinelander community and it’s a great time to give back by making some updates,” commented Lee Guenther, President and CEO of T.A. Solberg Co., Inc.
Trig’s will be focusing many of their efforts on implementing green practices and fixtures during this process. A noticeable difference will be the use of polished concrete floors throughout the supermarket. The new floors will not require any harsh chemicals or waxes to be maintained, resulting in better air quality for shoppers since no chemicals or compounds are released into the air. The floor’s cleanliness is also enhanced because the polishing eliminates pores in the surface area where bacteria and dirt can hide. Plus, the floor is slow to heat and cool, which keeps the indoor air temperature consistent, decreasing reliance on air conditioners and heaters.
Customers can also look forward to shopping energy efficient cases and LED lighting in many areas of the store. The new cases will represent a 20% savings in electric costs.
Other changes around the supermarket will include new shelving, new check stands with some self-check-out registers, a new and relocated service counter, the expansion and relocation of the dairy department, a new look in the meat department, and new decor throughout the store.
The interior and exterior of the entire Trig’s Riverwalk Centre mall will be getting a facelift and welcoming several new businesses including Timber Trail Coffee, Tula’s Cafe, Tone Zone Fitness, and an expanded Trig’s Floral & Home to include gourmet cookware. New jobs will be created at Tula’s Cafe and Tone Zone. T.A. Solberg Co. has also announced the closing of Trig’s Box Office Video on March 30th.
