Obituary: Joseph James Vinci

Joseph James Vinci, 75, of Rhinelander died March 18, 2013, at his home. He was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Des Plaines, Ill., to Joseph and Dorothy (Keene) Vinci. He is survived by four daughters, Kimberly (Bill) Sidner of Chicago, Ill., Karla Vinci (Pat Quaintance) of Bayfield, Kristin Vinci of Newburgh, Ind., and Kay Vinci of Belmont, N.C.; a sister Virginia Platts of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, James (JoAnne) Vinci of Arbor Vitae; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. He managed his own construction business and completed his career working at Pepper Construction. He used his professional construction skills to help people in need. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, at noon at Carlson Funeral Home with Pastor Marcus Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Newbold Memorial Cemetery. A memorial is being established in Mr. Vinci’s name and may be directed to his family. (Carlson Funeral Home)
