Obituary: Erv Lepak
Erv Lepak, 77, of Rhinelander died Friday, March 1, 2013. He was born April 22, 1935, to Alois and Lucille Lepak in the township of Buena Vista. He is survived by his wife, Judy; a son, Kim Lepak of Pecatonica, Ill.; three daughters and their husbands, Kay (John) Huebner of Anchorage, Alaska, Karalyn (Patrick) O’Melia of Rhinelander and Kerry (Michael) Neimon of Delafield; sisters Marilyn (Eddie) Levandowski of Stevens Point, Judy (Dan) Kawleski of Stevens Point and Kathleen (Jeff) Bauer of Mondovi; his mother-in-law, Helen (Wegner) Patterson of Rhinelander; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bobby Lepak; and a nephew, Danny Lepak. Mr. Lepak was employed by Rhinelander Office Supply for more than 35 years. He was an avid softball player and bowler, but his passion was trout fishing. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church/St. Joseph’s site. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Carlson Funeral Home and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until just prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to establish a memorial in Erv’s name to benefit Rhinelander student athletics. Contributions may be directed to the family. (Carlson Funeral Home)
