The Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce and Volunteer Wisconsin will hold a three-hour workshop April 10 for nonprofits and community organizations interested in improving their volunteer engagement practices. The workshop will cover the following topics:

Volunteer engagement standards and assessment: An overview of organizational volunteer management and best practices to effectively engage volunteers in meeting their organization’s social mission.

Volunteer recruitment: Explores the four concepts of volunteer recruitment. Participants will discuss barriers for volunteers in their agencies and strategies to address these barriers; develop a recruitment message; understand motivational styles; and understand who the best recruiters are for their agency.

The fee to attend is $10 for Rhinelander Chamber members and Volunteer Connection users, and $15 for non-chamber members. Training will be held at the Curran Professional Building, 315 South Oneida Ave., Rhinelander, from 1 to 3 p.m.

To register or for more information call the Rhinelander Chamber at (715) 365-7464 or explorerhinelander.com.
