Obituary: Mark J. Juel

Mark J. Juel, age 55 of Harshaw died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, with his wife, Kaye, following a fire at their home. He was born Jan. 30, 1958, in Milwaukee to James and Kathleen (Karpf) Juel. He is survived by a son, Steven Juel of Tomahawk; a daughter, Nicole (Tim) Augustine of Harshaw; his parents, James and Kathleen Juel; three sisters, Susan Juel of Shiocton, Christine Juel of Royalton and Debra Juel of Weston, Va; a brother, Mike (Linda) Juel of Wausau; his maternal grandmother, Hilda Karpf of Hales Corners; and four grandchildren. He served in the Army. He was also an entrepreneur whose endeavors included development of the Century 21 real estate office in Rhinelander and involvement with construction. Funeral services for Mark and Kaye will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church in Harshaw with Rev. Hans-Juergen Heisinger officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Mon., Feb. 18, at Carlson Funeral Home and just prior to the time of services Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Harshaw. A memorial will be established in honor of both Mark and Kaye, and contributions may be directed in care of their family. (Carlson Funeral Home)
