The Fix Is In Spay-ghetti Dinner Feb. 23
The Fix Is In, Inc. will host its 3rd annual Spay-ghetti Dinner at the Raymond F. Sloan Community Center, 7246 Main Street, Lake Tomahawk on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Dinner will feature spaghetti, choice of meat or non-meat sauce, salad and hot French bread catered by Reuland’s Catering of Woodruff, and dessert and coffee. A cash bar will also be available. Event tickets are $10 in advance and available at Trig’s in Rhinelander, Minocqua and Eagle River. Tickets will be $15 at the door.
Door prize drawings will be held throughout the evening, as will 50/50 cash paddle raffles and bucket raffles for some great prizes. New this year is a competition among local humane societies.
“Several humane societies that we partner with will present a display featuring their adoptable pets and information about their organization. Dinner attendees will vote for their favorite display for a chance to win a free spay or neuter surgery at our clinic,” said Karla Ortman, director of The Fix Is In.
All proceeds from the event will benefit The Fix Is In, Inc., a high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter clinic. The clinic offers services in Rhinelander, Minocqua, Boulder Junction, Conover, Crandon, Antigo, Wausau and Medford. Between six and eight million cats and dogs enter the nation’s shelter system each year. Shelters can’t save and support this huge number of accidental litters, strays and offspring of family pets. As a result, nearly 4 million are euthanized annually. Spaying and neutering is the only proven way to reduce these numbers and save animals’ lives.
