Active older adults at the Y learn the four predictors of longevity
The Y will host its monthly “Lunch & Brain Games” Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rhinelander facility. The potluck theme is “baked potato.” Those attending are asked to bring a topping for a baked potato or a dessert.
Geri Heppe, Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the Northwoods specialist, will be the guest speaker. She will talk about the four predictors of longevity. The ADRC provides information, assistance and advocacy to older adults, persons with disabilities and their families to promote healthy choices, independence and an enhanced quality of life. Geri will also talk about how to access the services offered by the ADRC. This program is free and open to anyone in the community.
