Veterans’ News: VA health care needs assessment
Mary Kay Campbell is a VA rural health consultant for VISN 12, which includes the Rhinelander and Iron Mountain areas. As a rural health consultant, she assesses health care needs of veterans in rural areas to ensure the services provided by the facilities in VISN 12 are meeting their needs. Mary Kay will be in Rhinelander Wednesday, Nov. 14, to talk to veterans about VA health care. She will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. in the County Board Room on the second floor of the Oneida County Courthouse.
In between those two sessions, she will also be at the VA Clinic in Rhinelander to talk to veterans. She wants to talk with those who are in the VA health care system as well as those who are not. Her goal is to identify areas for improvement to provide optimum care and also identify why veterans who currently do not use VA health care choose to get care elsewhere. No appointment is necessary. Those who would like to speak with her may show up at their convenience either at the courthouse or at the VA Clinic.
