YMCA of the Northwoods youth classes

The YMCA of the Northwoods has many youth classes offered during the Fall 2 Session through Dec. 22.

Youth Dance Classes will be offered Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. for ages 8 to14 and on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. for children ages 4 to 7. These classes will have new instructors along with an emphasis in movement, team building and performance opportunities for each child. The cost is $25 for members and $45 for the general public.

Little Movers is offered Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Parents may attend the class with their child or may enjoy some time to themselves. This class offers gross motor skill development, literacy and social emotional development with an emphasis on fun. It’s open to children ages 2 to 4 years and is free to members.

Fit Kids will continue developing a child’s skill in sports, relay games and physical fitness. This is offered on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. to children ages 4 to 7 years and is free to members.
