Letter: Thompson should release tax records by Lonah M. Reissmann
Editor:
I have been watching the Baldwin/Thompson campaign with interest for several weeks now. I find it ironic that Tommy Thompson can claim that he was such a job creator. He did not create jobs. The state of Wisconsin created jobs, just like the nation did during those years. Our economy was healthy.
If I remember correctly, Tommy Thompson stole money from the state employee trust fund and was taken to court to get it returned. Does anyone remember that? He was in the highest office in our state and he stole from workers whose money was tucked away for safe keeping until they retired.
It really should not surprise us that his backroom talking says he would assist Paul Ryan in destroying Medicare. Both of them are too rich to need Medicare. He sold his soul to influence brokers because he wanted to capitalize on his Washington connections. Now he wants to bring that backroom politics way of doing business back to Wisconsin. We in Wisconsin do not want it. Why does he not produce his tax records? What else is he hiding?
