The Rhinelander Tourism Marketing Committee (RTMC) is now accepting applications for the winter disbursement of Room Tax Community Grants. Funding is available for community groups and organizations that provide marketing and focus on bringing people to the Rhinelander area. Applications for projects that encourage visitors to stay longer will also be accepted. RTMC will not fund for-profit organizations. Funds can only be used for advertising and marketing activities, they may not be used for an organization’s operating expenses, volunteer pay or stipends or infrastructure.

RTMC will review all applications during the Dec. 5, 2012, committee meeting. Applications can be found online at www.rhinelanderchamber.com or at the Rhinelander Chamber office. The Rhinelander Tourism Marketing Committee is comprised of members of the City of Rhinelander and the Town of Pelican tourism entities. In 2011, RTMC awarded more than $7,500 to local community organizations.
