All candidates for the 12th Senate and the 34th Assembly Districts whose names will appear on the fall general election ballot have been invited to participate in a candidate forum on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m., at the Nicolet College Theatre, 5364 College Drive in Rhinelander. The Northwoods Members-at-Large League of Women Voters Wisconsin, a non-partisan group, is sponsoring the forum.

At 7 p.m. the first round of the forum will begin with the 12th Senate District candidates who have agreed to participate, including Libertarian Paul Ehlers and Democrat Susan Sommer. The 34th Assembly candidates who have agreed to participate in the second round are Independant Todd Albano, Independant Kevin Fitzpatrick and Democrat Merlin Van Buren. Each round will be 50 minutes long, with a 10 minute break between rounds. The public is invited to arrive early to submit written questions for the moderator, Michael Shores. All candidates will be given an opportunity to answer questions submitted by those attending the forum.
