Now through October, the YMCA of the Northwoods will be accepting applications for the Fit For Life 6 week program.

This structured weight loss competition features weekly bootcamps, workouts, challenges, lectures and weigh-ins. This program is a preview of the ever popular and successful 12 week program. The 6 week program will begin Oct. 24 and run to Dec. 7, with bootcamps taking place at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and 5:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Participants will also weigh-in at the end of every week.

Through this program, participants are given the tools to make successful long-term changes in their health and well-being.

“The For For Life program has created results, and by offering a six week program, it allows participants to test the waters and find out what all the talk is about. It can also be used as a tune up for the extensive 12 week program, or just a program to help get us all through the holiday season,” said YMCA Wellness Director Chris Cook. “It’s a weight loss program, but also gives you the building blocks to create a healthy lifestyle routine and build relationships that last well beyond the timelines of the program.”

Applications are available at the YMCA of the Northwoods and online. They are due Tuesday, Oct. 23. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants.

To learn more about the program, call (715) 362-9622, ext. 113, or visit ymcaofthenorthwoods.org.
